what is 95%lead and 2.5%antimony and 2.5% tin? does it have a brinell hardness number? if so, what is it?
sorry, i just started cast bullets and i am learning. the gun's i will be casting for are 30-40 krag, 444 marlin, and the 45-70.

about 11-12 bhn or so.
it's generally an alloy used in small isotope cores, and should be a very good one to cast with.
I'd set my alloy temp to 700-715 f.

And, I find that my molds typically determine the temp that I run my pot.

Maybe not that many times, there would be no time for casting or shooting. :mrgreen:

This is what the Precision Cast Bullet Alloy Calculator (http://www.tmtpages.com/Alloy/alloycalc.htm) estimates as the Brinell Hardness number of your alloy.
