Somebody really wanted your lead. A 5 gal bucket is heavy. That sucks.

Yeah I would be glad the tools are not gone and the lead is all they wanted. If it were me I would make sure the tools stay. They might not have had room for them on this tripand are planning on coming back to get them.
Stay safe and lock up EVERYTHING now days.

That's about as smart as the guy who was trying to cut copper out of a live distribution panel in a factory. They found him there when the power went off.

I would bet that it went to scrap yard.Worth about $.50 a pound. If you could identify your ingots you might try checking the local scrap yards. In Michigan all the transactions are on camera. Sorry for your loss. I hate a thief. Dave

Store deisel fuel in gas cans and gas in des. cans. you can track down croock very easy. But for lead it has to be just a real loss, in alot of ways. You feel valnerable after a theft of any kind.

Well maybe not "friends" any longer. However it seems like someone who had a very intended interest as they broke in to take only lead ingots. Probably someone the original poster knows, who knows that he had lead is my thought.
