Jus purchased a .256 Winchester Mag. barrel for my Contender. Have RCBS dies and 40 Jamison cases. Plan to shoot the Lyman 65 grain cast bullet. In my .223 I had great accuracy at 25 yds with Lyman Cast 225415 bullet with gas check. Use 4198, Accurate # 5. Reloader 7, and a few others. If you have any favorite loads for .256 please email me as I have trouble responding to posts on this web site. dd

I found the neck is too short for my liking when attempting cast loads

My M92 (Rossi) is at the gunsmith. I put it in so I could get it out in time for Xmas, but...the best laid plans of mice and mern.
I was putting a tang sight on it. I like it a bunch better than the buckhorn. It's a fun little gun for running jackrabbits, and doesn't cost so much with cast. I use the Lyman 65grgc, cast of Lyman #2, tho' I do have some of WW+2%.
I've a bunch of pistol-powders to try, including Red Dot, Green Dot, AA#5 and #7, Unique, International, and HS-6. There ought to be something, somewhere.
I'll keep in touch on here.
Have fun,
Gene
