Well, went out today and tried the 358315 in my .357 Trapper today. I justed loaded 20 cartridges using 11.0 of 2400 and Magnum cases. I did put the gas checks on the bullets. Once I got it sighted in for offhand at 100 yards, I was hell on the 6-inch steel swinger. I did not chronograph the load but My guess is the bullets were moving in the 1200fps range. With my alloy, the bullets, lubed and checked weighed in at 216grs. They hit like a freight train and the recoil was next to nothing. I am going to try 12.0 of 2400 next.
Interestingly, although I single load them, they do feed from the magazine just fine, even at 1.855 OAL.

Yep the 315 will grow on you, it works well in my 357 legacy as well. Same for the rcbs 200.

good luck

Yes, the RCBS is a good boolit. I worked some with that one several years ago, using Lil'Gun and 296. The 357 with heavy bullets in a levergun is a real eye opener. I plan to shoot a lot of these boolits at steel plates this summer. The things I like about it are that the boolits hit hard, recoil softly, are not too hard on the lead supply (as opposed to 500gr 45-70 boolits) and the rounds don't heat the barrel so quickly, which around here is a big deal during the summer months. The accuracy is plenty good too.

Tomorrow I am going to cast a few hundred of the 358430 boolit to start playing with that one too as I borrowed the mould from a buddy.
