Congrats. Is it a 4-5/8" or 6-1/2" or 7-1/2" Hunter model?

The NOE 413-230 LFN is a fine mold. It was designed by our very own Blammer here. It is just as accurate in my experience as the classic Lyman 410459 and the H&G 258 mold

Congrats! You will enjoy it. I love mine. Can't tell you about a NOE mould as I don't have one for my 41 yet but mine seems to like em all. I have a Lee 240 grain mould that it shoots very well and it absolutely dotes on a Lee 210 grain SWC and 8 grains even of Unique. It will shoot the snot of 210 grain "J" word XTP's over a healthy dose of H110. Come to think of it, I have never shot anything out of it that it didn't at least shoot ok.

Enjoy,

Wolfgang

Welcome to the club. Mine has been fed a steady diet of Saeco 215gr SWC's along with a few other types. It is accurate to the point of scary accurate with any of them. I mostly use 4227 and herco
Feel free to PM if you have questions.

It came w 119 rounds plus 50 pieces of brass. I can't wait to get a mold. I'm leaning towards a hp mold for this one... Really want a noe rg4 mold

I own about 1/2 dozen 41 mags. Most are OM Rugers. Love the caliber. But, as to the NOW mold, I have no clue. I do use my Miha mold a bit though,,,,,,!

I have a NOE RG2 from an early group buy.
The mold is not listed on his website.
It is a SWC and is called "41 Keith".
IIRC, it is about 210gr when cast with HP pins.
I install a "popcan" plain base GC made with a Patmarlin die when I want to Hotrod this boolit.

shoots great in my Blackhawk :)

I have a Ruger SBH Hunter in 41 mag. The most accurate boolit I have found is the Saeco 220gr TC GC. Not a hunting boolit though. The Lee SWC does alright. I recently bought the RCBS SWC plain base and it shoots very well and I plan on trying this on an elk if I get drawn again.
I tried some Alliant 300 MP with the RCBS boolit and was able to get over 1,550 fps woth excellent accuracy. Faster than Lil'Gun and just as accurate. The only data published with this powder in the 41 mag is from 2 gun writers, one being Brian Pearce. I had already read both when I called Alliant asking for data. They referred me to the articles. Pisses me off when the companies ignore the 41 and comment "nobody shoots it anymore".

My 4-5/8th eats a steady diet of MEHI 413640 - 4 cavity with GC, cast with Lymn #2
Large HP 200gr, Penta HP 200 gr, Smalll HP 205gr & Solid 215 gr lubed and sized.

They all shoot up to my ability.

Welcome from a fairly new member myself. I have the BH in 6.5 as well and feed it Mihec in the round nose, Keith and a lightweight 175gr that all shoot great. I tried the full house loads and found them not needed and have settled for Unique in hunting at @ 1100 and light BE loads for plinking. They are great shooters and a lot of fun as well as meat gathers.

Anyone have any input on the accurate molds for the 41 mag?

I designed the 41200z. Used coated in HT and sized .411 it is perfect for my airweight .41. Shoots great in my DW 6.5 and 8 as well. I also have his 220k as well. Both great boolits.

My Miha mold is the 413 640. It's a 4 cavity, with cuts for the pins to make the bullets FP, HP, or Penta HP's. Let's just say I have several of his molds in the "640" design. I LIKE them and so do my guns!

The 41 240R is more of what I had in mind only with a PB and equal length driving bands. I have some 240's I bought that were cast from an NEI mold. I have had good results with this one in a 657 7.5 barrel. Buddy just got a bisley hunter in 41 so will let him taste test it too.
May just send one and have them clone a mold for me if it works in the Ruger and SW.

Thanks kweidner he's helping me out too in big ways. So interesting how the 41 mag following are so eager to help me on this new venture. Seems the consensus says between 200-230 ish gr is about where you want to be in weight. I saw a strange mold that may be mismarked..... A lee 175 gr .410 6 gang I was like woooo production but that has to be a mismark and also may be lil light

I have a 175gr that was intended for the 41 AE but they work in the mag as well. I beleve the lighter weights were intended for the AE

Nope the one I have was from a group buy for a mihec. It was http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?174781-MiHec-2-or-4-cavity-brass-411640-Cramer-HP&p=1955929#post1955929
