Saw one in a local pawn shop today. I know they are not that common, seen them on some of the auction sites for $800 to $1100. This one is considerably less, about $500, and stainless as well. Like some opinions, decent investment (and toy)?

.

That one's overpriced - mostly because the blued finish is missing from the blued carbon steel the gun was made with.

There were two different generations of Marlin .410 Lever Actions:

1929-32, The original Marlin Model 410 Lever Action, blued carbon steel, in both Standard & Deluxe (checkered stocks) versions.

2004, the Marlin New Model 410 Lever Action, also blued carbon steel, checkered stocks & green fibre-optic front sight.

Late production, certainly not the 29-32 vintage. If it is indeed "worn finish", somebody did one heck of a job wearing the blue off so evenly, and polishing the bare metal underneath...

If you are on the market, it is a good deal.

The SS versions are XLR's...

2009 comes to mind, but I have CRS...

I agree the price is good...

If it's one of these I'd buy it in a Hurry. Good Price.

That's the one, stainless and laminate. As I said, somebody sure did a good job of polishing that bare metal where the blue wore off...

Wow, I've never heard of this and I'm a Marlin enthusiast (own four!). I don't think I would be interested...but I wouldn't mind a .41 Magnum!

Greetings
Or get a rusty bore 336 30-30. Send it to JES Reboring. He will send you back a 41/444 or 405 JES as he calls it. That will make any die hard caliber .41 shooter very happy to have taken the step into a caliber .41 smasher. How about a 350 grainer at 1800 + fps !

Ummm....REALLY? HOW HAVE I MISSED OUT ON THIS? I have a 336 in .30-30 but it's actually in very nice condition. I'll keep my eye out for one that hasn't been treated so well.
