I have an old Winchester 10 gauge signal cannon that I want to fire. I have 10 gauge brass shotshells. Has anyone made the blanks for them.
If So how much Black are you using and are you putting a wad in front or just hold it down with paper?
Thanks John

10 gauge blanks use an 8 dram (1/2 oz.) charge of FFg.
A dram is 1/16 ounce, or 27.34375 grains.
A half-ounce is 218.75 grains.
Not my load, found it here. Sounds a bit strong to me.

It sounds to scarey for you to use, send it to me for testing.
You pay shipping.LOL

Wow! That is a lot of powder! On the other hand, it's not pushing anything...

It's a blank. So fill up about a 1/3rd of the case, put something in there to hold the powder and touch it off. If you want louder, put in more powder.

What! I sold that to you months ago, and you still haven't fired it? Hurry, New Years is coming. ;>)
Ever verify if it's a genuine Winchester? Winchester loaded BP blanks are around if you look for them.
