I know I read about who to call about getting the best receiver sights for a particular rifle, in my case a M48 Yugo. I wasn't able to find it in a search. Thanks, Flyer

Well, I don't know the Sight Guy, but Redfield, Lyman, Williams and others have all made good aperture sights at one time or another for Mauser rifles. Usually, a sight for any of the large ring Mausers or Springfields will work on your Yugo after drilling and tapping two screw holes on the right side of your rifle's bridge.

Lots of these sights are still available at gun shows, although the prices keep climbing all of the time. Look for the Lyman model 57 sight. It will need to be the model that fits on the right side of the rifle's bridge.

Here's a link to the Lyman web sight and the Model 57 page.

Google Gary Fellers. Should have a web page detailing all the sights he has. Think he's in Texas. Frank

Give Ken Bean "The Sight Man" a call. He lives outside of York, PA, #(717) 755 9070. He doesn't have a web site. He does phone business and gun shows only. He has every darn sight ever made, or so it would seem, and is a very very helpful/friendly/courteous guy. Much more accessible than Fellers, and his prices are better IMO.

Thanks for the replies. I called Ken yesterday. Now I gotta decide if I should go top of the line with the old steel Lyman, or cheaper? Flyer

Go with the older steel lyman sights. You won't be sorry. Frank

Another vote for Kenny Bean, he fixed me up with a Redfield no drill/tap sight for my Krag.
