After two seasons, I finally joined the 44 Mag club on Pa. Whitetails. I was in a 15 foot ladder stand with a half-dozen deer trails cutting through the brush at 25 to 50 yards. Two does entered the opening in front of me and gave me broad side shots.

The lead doe took one of my 240 grain cast SWC's through the shoulder, heart and lungs. She ran 60 yards a piled up.

My handgun-hunting friends jokingly say I'm now in the 44 mag. club, as I am one of the last ones to join. -My thunder stick is a SW 629 Classic DX with the 8-3/8 bbl. and a 2x Burris scope. My load is 20 grains of 2400 and a Magma Engineering lead SWC bullet cast from WW's and air dropped. I used RandyRats TAC1 lube.

Can't wait for next year.

Great job. Hand-gunning with your boolit leaves you with a great feeling of accomplishment. Good luck next year!
