I own a mess of these units. Does anybody have a suggestion on which o plusne does the best job?
I am reloading a 32/20 for a TC barrel with a 308 groove. I have several boolits sized from .309 to .311. to try.
I figure to use the RCBS for the corresponding bullet diameter plus .001. Is this a good plan? Some boolits are GC and some PB.
Don't want to waste the effort to make them.

I prefer Lyman. I would try the 30 cal. "M" die first on all boolit sizes, then the 31 cal. "M" die for .310" and .311".

By all means, if you have different expander dies to try, try them all until one works for you.

With the .308 groove diameter of the TC barrel, the Redding .30-20 TC was made for it. I knew other shooters with that barrel that had standard .32-20 dies and the neck was not sized small enough to hold a .310 boolit. Haven't seen the .30-20 TC die set for sale in a long time. You may not have to expand at all.

NOE is making M die type inserts for the Lee universal now. Great quality, I have 30 and 270, and I have the powder through pistol type he makes for 10/40, 38 and 45.

I size my gc bullets at .310 and PB at .311. I use the 30 m die also. This is for a TC 30-20. Weights run from 120-180.

Concur on the NOE expanders, M die style but fit the Lee Expander body, so cheap and available in a variety of cast boolit friendly sizes. See here:http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/index.php?cPath=88&sort=2a&page=2

Plus 1 on NOE expanders, great idea!
