That looks a lot a PW 375. It is a shot shell loader. Very nice rig. Usually has tooling for two gauges. If it has all the toolin, that is a great deal. Google PW-375 and you will get tons of hits.

It's a Metal-Matic P200. Not sure it's in production anymore. I have one I bought ...a long time ago. Designed for pistol cases only. I have loaded 7TCU and 7BR on it, but neck sizing only.

I have used my PW200 for many years.
Yes, it is designed for pistol case, thus the P designation.
You can prime ,powder, seat boolits and crimp small rifle cases on it if you resize them elsewhere.
There is NO slop in mine. The press has a VERY positive detent at each station to prevent slop.
I load 9MM, 40S&W, and 45 ACP on mine.
I am using 700X for each of these calibers since I was given 15# of it and find the RCBS Little Dandy measure mounted on it to be the most accurate with this fluffy powder.
$125 seems a good price for the press.....dale

PW recently dropped them from their lineup. The Metallic-II is currently their only metallic cartridge press (I just bought one).

Get a P200 elsewhere while you can.

That video is an example of a Very inefficient use of a manual turret press and just spreads more ignorance about how to use them and their intended design.

That is cool.

That's the 375, modified for metallic. I noticed that P/W pulled it off their website. I believe I can buy threaded turrets and the modified shell holder needed to convert my shotshell press. It may be a little more than that but it would be close.

I wonder how how tight the die spacing is? I would like to use Forster/Sinclair lock rings where possible.

The 375 is my favorite shotshell press. I can hold two sets of shotshell dies in one head minus the 10 gauge in its own dedicated head. A very versatile press.

take care

I have been using one for a long time. Very useful but don't care for the way the shell holder is held. Shame to read it is no longer made but understandable.

Two ways to Efficiently use that machine.

One is to size and deprime all your cases then tumble them, and then Prime them on the machine, Drop Powder(same station), seat bullet and crimp each round.

The other way is to tumble the cases first and then run them thru the machine from one end to the other completing each round before moving to the next. This is the most efficient use of the machine.

On any type of turret based machine (Turret Lathes or Drills too) the intention is that one revolution of the turret completes all operations to one part.

On this machine the turret is stationary and it has a "shuttle" to move the cartridge from station to station. However the principle is the same. Start at the right and move the case thru the stations yielding one completed reloaded round at the end.

The PW MetalMatic II works exactly the same way except it is a bigger machine designed to load full sized rifle cartridges.

Since I pre prep my Rifle rounds and need to feel the primers seat I prep, tumble, and prime the cases first. Then charge, seat bullet and crimp in three quick steps on the MMII. I could size deprime, charge and seat and crimp from beginning to end also I just choose to prep my brass first to produce better looking ammo than simply reloading dirty brass. I also don't want to deal with case lube on loaded rounds. That's just me.

You could do the same thing with the smaller machine however it would kind of be a waste with 9mm,.40's or .45's as they can be reloaded more efficiently just running them thru after tumbling as there is nothing to be gained by dropping steps and doing them elsewhere, and a lot to lose time wise for no gain in performance.

I do my Pistol cases on a Dillon anyway, and tumble first and then completely reload clean cases. This machine really should be used the same way to get your monies worth out of it.

But,,, you do have the option of using it anyway you want. If you don't tell anyone, nobody will call you stupid. [smilie=s:

There are no "wrong ways." No matter your method there is always someone waiting to find fault (standard low self-esteem defense mechanism). Like you, I load most handgun ammo in a single phase. Others vary, depending on the gun and intended use.

Back on topic: I set my PW up as follows for loading 7TCU and 7BR

- Neck size and prime
- Charge
- Flare case mouth
- Add filler (spherical buffer/Little Dandy)
- Seat

No longer able to shoot IHMSA , so these days it's used for the occasional odd job.

Still have my P-200 ! bought it long before the Dillon presses came out . work's excellent ,i now only use it for less used calibers thats not worth converting a Dillon 550 for.
I now use the Dillon powder die and powder measure on the P-200

My preferred method of loading on the P200 is to clean and polish my handgun brass and load in one pass with carbide sizer dies.....dale

Thank you EddieNFL and LUBEDUDE.

The micrometer is a Brown & Sharpe. I believe the digital scale is made by at one time by Denver Instruments. I did notice that Forster rings cannot be used side by side in the press. It does have some tight spacing but the Hornady's work great. I believe the Lyman 38/357 M die is the M2 die body. I could be wrong.

thanks guys!

Now to study which Hollywood turret to own!

Got a P/W Metal-Matic P200 waiting for me at my wifes uncle. Just got to get to Oklahoma to get it. He bribes me with stuff I like to bring my boys up to see him. Not that it takes a bribe to get me to come up and see him. He is my favorite uncle and I am not even blood kin to him. Last time he told me he had an old rifle for me next time I came up. It ended up being a Marlin model 36. Well used, but still solid rifle. I felt a little guilty and got 2 pounds of Varget for him because he cannot find any where he lives. Told him about about it and he said bring it on up because I traded for an old press that I want you to have. I guess I will put it next to the Herters press he gave me when I started reloading and I still use. Things given to you by people you really like mean more to you than buying something new.

I have that press and a 375 shot shell press the size of the turrets and spacing are miles apart if you want to convert a 375 to a metallic you will need lathe ,mill, lots of time and energy

I now have both and I believe the toolheads are the same diameter as well as the location of the twin posts. I need to contact P/W about what they did to convert it to metallic. If my memory serves me well, Handloader magazine did an article on the press around 1970.

I was gifted this P-200 this afternoon. I am not a handgunner, but I can see this being quite useful for rifle cartridges I load with cast. 7mm-08, 30-30, 303British and 32 Win Sp. I neck size mostly once the cases are fireformed. I also shoot cast in a 30-06, but this press looks a bit tight for height.308862
