Five-seveN pistols and the SS190 round

Anyone looked at these much? I have a friend that wants to buy one and he is asking my opinion. I can't see much use for one. It looks like they would damage steel targets and what's the point of shooting paper with them?

Anybody have an opinion?

I have thought about getting a 5.7. Not in a bottom feeder, I cant see much use for a 22 caliber semi auto centerfire. But a 22 magnum NEF barrel rechamber to 5.7 would be useful, at least for me. It would make a good groundhog thumper, but then there is the 22 hornet, so other then in a rifle barrel I dont see much use for it.

Don't know about the pistol but I've fired the carbine and it's an absolute blast! Easy to control, light recoil, very accurate. IIRC, the purpose is to defeat body armor up to 200 yards. They will damage steel targets but would make a fun small game/varmint gun. As far as paper goes, I've never owned a weapon (even spring-powered BB guns) that wouldn't stop a paper target. They're pretty docile creatures.
