Anybody ID This Left Handed Bolt Please?

Came in a box of parts marked Marlin...

30-06 sized bolt face.

Many thanks in advance...

The only thing I know is that it looks like a lefty bolt.

I remember those rear lugs but I don't remember who made them.

The Remington 788 has the rear lugs but that is not it.

.

There's not many rear-locking bolt rifle's out there, nevermind a lefty - AFAIK, Marlin has never made either a LH, or a rear-locking, boltgun.

I don't think it's a LH Remington 788 bolt, maybe some kind of custom gunsmith conversion ?

It's a Shultz and Larson I think. Weatherby used some in his early days.

My guess is a Shultz and Larson also. I believe they were made in Denmark. The one I shot back in the mid-70s was a top of the line rifle. It was the only one I ever saw, although back then a gun writer would mention them now and then.

Colt also marketed a JP Sauer designed rear locking bolt action rifle for a while. The locking lugs actually retracted and extended to lock and unlock the non-rotating bolt.

Pretty sure that it is a Schultz and Larsen, I have never seen a LH gun, but that does look like the ones I've seen, at least as far as the locking lugs go.
