Am starting to pick up tools etc for resizing bullets. I'd like to resize a .323 RCBS bullet down to .322 but can't find a lube and sizing die that size. I guess SAECO makes one, but that means I'll have to buy their setup too, and I was leaning towards an RCBS or LYMAN lube/sizer. I'm starting from scratch here so don't know my way around yet. Lots of time on the internet searching though. I guess that means I'll need a matching top punch for the bullet too. Have settled on an RCBS 08-170-FN which is 8MM, but .322 diameter seems to be the one that is really accurate in my model '94 (1946 made).

Any tips? If I have to go with the SAECO, I guess I can live with that!

If the die you want is not commercially available, Buckshot (search this forum) will make one for you. Fast delivery, good prices. Pilgrim

lathesmith could hook you up too.
I get some of my star sizers from him.

According to information on the vendors list, Lathesmith does NOT make sizer dies for RCBS or Lyman sizers.

Check the vendors list section for contact information on other vendors. Dusty

This is a possibility. You will have to lap it out to .322, that can be done.

Lee will make you any size die you like. I had them make me one in 0423" for sizing down 300gr jsp 44mag, to use in my 404jeffery for plinkers. I do It in two steps; from 0429" to 0.427" then to 0423".

Yes, but the Lee sizer does not lube. Buckshot is your man.

I got the impression that he is resizing a J-word so lubing is not in question. He will have to lube the j-word to push it through the sizer. To the OP, have you slugged your barrel yet? Please give us as much info as you can. Personally I do not see a benefit to what you are attempting. But perhaps I have misunderstood your post.

Those 3 things tell me he is talking cast boolits.

I would go with RCBS or Lyman sizer. I have never ordered from him but I've seen enough recommendations to go to Buckshot if I need a special size die.

Lyman has made a .322 sizing die in the past... I've got one. You might get lucky and find one on flea-Bay or one of the gun auction sites. They aren't that expensive when they do show up.

The op doesn't have or really need a luber/sizer.

Buffalo Arms stocks sizing dies in many odd sizes. http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=158310&TERM=lubrisizer

.322" Custom Sizing Die f/Lyman/RCBS Lubrisizers

I have several in odd sizes, some from Buffalo, some from RCBS when they offered custom sizing dies. They aren't cheap.
