Lyman 450center screw shaft repair?

It had to happen sometime, I guess:?. After almost 50years of use by my Dad and myself. The brazed? on ring at the bottom of the shaft broke loose. Should I take it to a welding shop and have they try to braze it back in place or try to find a replacement?

if you use hard lube and it is cold you will pull the end off just go on ebay and buy a new one or call lyman.

I got a replacement from Lyman. I tried to squeeze lube out when there was none left:cry:

Lyman website they are $6.00+ shipping:shock:, might as well buy a few o-rings while I'm ordering, those I go through regularly
