Well I have my ‘goodies’ (mostly from the good auspices of theperfessor, USMC87 & Lee S. Forsberg, with two commercial cast tossed in as well) and a toy to play with the goodies (er … examine the material).

From L-to-R.
Unk 200 gr TRN-BB commercial length .590
Saeco 443 219 gr RNFP length .635
429360 239 gr SWC length .720
Unk 240 gr SWC-BB commercial length .726
429667 248 gr RNFP-BB (cowboy action) length .727
Cramer 7 247 gr SWC (Keith clone) length .752
432256 241 gr SWC-HP (Keith clone) length .778
429421 258 gr SWC (Keith) length .780
429303 210 gr pointed WC length .810

In the background of the pic is the S&W 69. As this is a 5 shot, L-frame I won’t be shooting much over 1100 fps, or above 260gr. Will gladly listen to other suggestions of what to try in the way of bullets, before buying more molds.

Thanks to all that assisted me.123720123721

I looked at one of these Smiths awhile back...someone else picked it up a day or two later. I'd try to find the clone of LYMAN 429352 from Blammer's group buy at OLD WEST BULLET MOLDS or MIHEC's hollow base wadcutter at about 245 grains for "anti-social purposes." They freak out the "gun shop commandoes" at the range too. (A black man shooting a REDHAWK with 44 wadcutters destroys some stereotypes, right Ernie?)
My generic boolit is the RANCH DOG 265 round nose/flat point or the NOE plain base lube groove clone. I used a bunch of 429667s also since I cowboy shoot and have several 44 MARLIN rifles.
Stay low on the powder charges. Your hands, wrists, and the L-frame will last a lot longer.

EDK,

Thanks. Yes I have a '*****' buddy (his words used around liberals, when they stat saying African-American), that is a damned good SAA shooter. As he's a bit shorter and has smaller hands than I, he'll likely transition to the 69 as well. After we wear mine in a bit....

I am very interested in your findings. Local shop has a 69, but we have not agreed on a price. Will try after Christmas. I will get one! Just not sure who will sell it, yet.

Please keep us informed on your findings. I have an LBT 240 gr that I am interested in.
