BassPro messed up on my order and the local BassPro where I went to pick up my powder wasn't going to do anything. They finally got corporate on the phone and let me talk to them. BassPro corporate said that if i was willing to wait, they had another large shipment of Alliant powder to arrive some day in December 2014.

Wish I could have got the exact date, but I am certainly checking BassPro every day. Their last big shipment of Alliant powder took them days to sell out of the favorites.

"Some day in December" was probably 2 Dec. That's my luck

Last time they did that, I nabbed 8 pounds each of Bullseye and Unique. Would love to do it again with 2400 now my powder funds are replenished. Shipped direct to store and saved the hazmat fees. Hope it works that way again.

I got 3 pounds of Red Dot the last time, wish I'd sprung for an 8lb.

Going to have to keep an eye on the BP availability. I am wondering if they might be mistaken and they are thinking about the shipment that they got last month.

Corporate customer support person that I had on the phone could have been fibbing to me just to get me out of the store. Guess we're gonna find out. She definitely said big shipment of Alliant pistol powder sometime in December 2014

BassPro has been getting in Alliant lately. Their Kodak, TN location received 2 cases of Unique 2 days ago about noon. The next day (yesterday) a friend called (about 24 hours after the shipment arrived) and tried to pay for powder with a credit card over the phone. BassPro refused to accept the payment, said the customer had to come into the store. Not to worry, they told him, they had plenty of Unique. He got off work at 5PM (might have fudged and left early). I got him on the phone at 5:30 and here is his report: he got to the store and there were NO cans on the shelf. When he inquired with a clerk he was told "we might have some more in the back." The clerk produced a box with 10 single pound cans of Unique and the customer bought 4 of them. The quick lesson is that just because it is not on the shelf does not mean they do not have it! Ask and learn what is available. BTW, their price was $24.95 per pound.

that order we are waiting on is the big corporate order. the last time they had thousands of pounds of Alliant pistol powder. Most of us had the powder shipped for free to our closest Basspro shop and picked it up there, saving us the dreaded hazmat fee. that is the one that I am waiting on.

The powders they have in cyber stock now run from 30 to 33 dollars per "pound" bottle and some bottles are not even a full pound. Oh my!

The Unique I picked up at BassPro on Black Friday was $24.99/lb with no ship and no hazmat. It isn't as cheap as I would like..... but if you are out of Unique... it's pretty good!

A-H Reloading in Nashville just got in a big shipment of Alliant. No Green dot but everything else. 22.99 for one pounders, 149.99 for 8 pounds of Red Dot.

Sorry, they don't ship, but if you are close to Nashville in the next couple of days, you should check them out.

Bullseye, Unique, Red Dot, etc. still available. I ordered Bullseye and saving some cash by having it shipped for free to my local BassPro

At the local BPS, the shelves were full of alliant rifle powders. More black bottles than I have seen there in years!

Too bad I do not use much rifle powder!

It is very pricy, though! Average price was ~$29/#. A pound of that in full load 30-06's sure does not go very far.

I asked one of the guys at the gun counter at the local BPS about whether they had any .22 LR's, since they'd advertised bricks of 500 at what now serves for a good price. He just chuckled, and said, "We HAD some - several million - but they sold out in a little over 15 minutes." Moral of story: Just because they're GETTING powder doesn't mean they'll KEEP it, so keep that phone ringing if ya' really need that powder. I've been looking for an 8 pounder of Unique for some time, and some Green Dot and Blue Dot, and apparently, it's made of unobtainium now. Diligence is the key to finding powder today - one reason I've had trouble, I guess, but I HAVE been pretty consistently searching for it. {Sigh} Welcome to "The New Millenium!" Fun, ain't it???

I haven't seen anything over a 1 lb'er of Unique, but BPS sure had a pile of them in the last two sales.

Thanks for the heads up on the Bullseye. I called my local Bass Pro in Hampton VA this past Thursday, and purchased four one pounders (they had 18 lbs in the store when I called). Picked it up today, should have enough for a very long time now.
