I have a bunch of Bore Store's from Midway that I store my contenders and barrels in. I keep one setup under back truck bench all winter or summer without fear of rust. The bore stores are treated. I don't have many molds and am going to try storing molds in one of my bore stores for rust prevention.

What is "Bore Stores"?

I've always coated my steel moulds in WD-40 or Marvel Mystery Oil, the aluminum, nothing, just put in the drawer. I've lived in New Mexico, Arkansas and Texas and have never seen any rust or discoloration or degredation.

I store mine in a 40mm ammo can with serveral large boxes of silica dessicant. Also leave lead w/sprues in the mould when stored

Lead in the mold causes corrosion in the proper conditions, does not
exclude moisture. If dry enough it will not cause problems, but is pretty
much been shown to be neutral to harmful, and not helpful.

Ammo box with dissicant will guarentee no corrosion.

Big GI ammo box. No oil or such. No rust from Florida, Il, CA, PA, KS or OH.

Whatever you do to prevent rust, be sure to store your molds where you can find them again.
I noticed some rust starting on my RCBS 44-370 so I took it out to the shop away from the swamp cooler in the house..... and now I can't find it :(

I have a dead freezer I keep mine in. It's pretty full, but I'm working on filling to over flowing.

Not if you don't mind cleaning it out before you use the mold.
