started a new project with an old 721 rem. in 270 win cal. Got a new rcbs150sp mold. I started with 12 gr. Unique working my way up, not so good results. I decided to go with fast rifle powder and picked win 748. started at 24 and worked up to 26 1/2. Groups are slightly sub 2moa usually with 2 or 3 touching out of 5. @100yd. I think I can up the charge safely but wandering if anyone has any pet loads with 748 to share. public or PM. I have no idea as to my fps. way to cold to set up my chronograph. Thanks

I am about to start working on cast in a .270 Win and just got my mold today, NOE 279 160gr FN. Only help I can offer is Lyman has a little bit of W-748 data with cast. Heaviest they list is the 136 gr 280412 with a start of 32 gr and max is 49 gr. You may be at to low a pressure to get a good burn since that 32 gr start is only 19k pressure at 2100 fps.

I don't recommend this often but I've done exactly that and found that PROPERLY using Dacron filler brought the flyers into the group. I was using a little more powder than you are, but not much. Also, my mould had two significantly different diameter cavities and the one with the smaller nose shot poorly.
