That is one sharp looking GP100.

What does that weigh and where did you find it? I think I want one if it its available in California.

It's a gp100 I cut down from a 6" to a 3".
Slab side cut the barrel
Dx style front sight
Chamfered charge holes
Badger grips

So, 36 oz. A bit much for what I have in mind but the cool factor is in the high nines.

Nice. Now how about a conversion to 44 Spl, 41 Mag, 40 S&W or 10mm Auto?

It can all be done....but I don't like re bored barrels.

Wow, that is sharp! Love the 36 oz. too. Ruger, please make the Geep go on a diet someday!

VERY IMPRESSIVE !

That is outstanding work and it appears to have great potential as a fighting tool, not to mention it looks really sharp !

I would think it would weigh less than 36 oz, my 3" Factory GP100 weighs in at 36 oz and it doesn't have the barrel material removed as this one does.

Maybe these wood grips weigh more. Dunno....it was on a cheap food scale.

I just weighed my 3" GPNY and with the Hogue monogrip, it is 1006 grams or 35.48 ounces (with a heavier 38 special only cylinder). That's pretty close to 36oz. The steel removed from the sides of the barrel is trivial and the front sight base plus the wooden grip probably accounts for the extra 1/2oz. to 1 oz.
In any event, it's super cool.

Slab barrel, wood grips, extra 1.2" of barrel and 38oz, I guess it's possible

Looks like it could be a big brother to my little DAO SP101 !

6 shot too, unlike the 5 shot SP101. More belt holster options with the exposed hammer, and a 3-4 inch barrel is a nice all around compromise length. Would make a great walking around gun IMO.

Bet it would be more fun to shoot with the extra weight and bulk as well as the additional +1 round.

I'd buy one if I saw it in a store. I've seen a few bobbed Security Six's and GP 100's that I would scoop up in a heart beat.

Looks good, I like it.

I just sent off a 3 inch adjustable sight stainless GP100 .38 Spcl to Dave Clements to have converted to 10mm and give the barrel his slab side treatment. It should look like this when done:
