Anyone have a good source for some cast boolits around 200 gr for a marlin 336 in .35 Rem? I would like to hear opinions on what works for others who have this caliber rifle. Thanks

The rcbs 35-200-fn is very good. I size mine to .360".

The RCBS 200-FN is indeed a good bullet for the 35, maybe even the gold standard. I don't know of anyone who sells it. The Ranchdog 190 is also a very good bullet for the 35 in a Marlin. Jerry at Carolina Cast Bullets may be a source for these.
Good Luck,
Rick

Copies of both molds can be picked up at NOE bullet molds. He just posted that all his molds are 20% off till the 7th

The gold standard has been mentioned a few times. You are going to be hard pressed to find a better bullet. I have a copy from NOE. Accurate makes a copy as well as a modified version w/ a larger meplat. Have that one as well but haven't gotten around to developing a load for it.

+1 on RCBS 200, killed a nice fat doe with it last wed. am at 80 yds. Shoots as good as I can see. I use COWW+2% over 25gr IMR 4198 for 1850fps. Sized .359 in a microgroove bbl. Shoot Straight, T-Bird

My pick would be the ranchdog bullet .Ive killed two deer so far with them in my 35. Big wide nose on it and shoot well at full speed .

I shoot the lyman .358 195 lrn bullet from mine ( I cant remember the mold number off the top of my head) over herco powder it shoots decent and does not lead the barrel . this is just a plinker load though I have no idea how it would be for a hunting load.

RD190 will not chamber in my .35 Rem Marlin.

Lyman produces their 358315 (uses #311 top punch) for the .35Rem; it is gas-checked; Lyman indicates weight (w/ #2 alloy) as "206 gr", while mine come out at just about 200 grains.
BEST!

It chambers, but doesn't feed smoothly in mine. I much prefer the RCBS .35-200-FN.

Thanks. Looks like the .35-200 is best choice for those who cast. Unfortunately, I do not have the equipment or know how to cast.

Bullshop will no doubt cast some for you…
A Google search may turn up others.

I bet a guy could PM Bullshop jr and get an email address or some way to contact Dan. It might take a few days though, as he hasn't been on near as much since starting his new job.

We all started there, where you go from this point is up to you. Obviously I recommend buying the equipment and learning how to use it.
