I have a SIG P6 which is also sold as the P225, a 9mm single stack with
the two piece slide system.

Can anyone tell me if a current production SIG factory "drop in" barrel
for one of the double stack guns (226, 229, etc) will fit this gun? Not
changing caliber, just want a new barrel.

Thanks.

Bill

When I was looking into it, I was told no, not without modification to the new barrel. I am informed that the feed ramp is wider on the 226, 228, 229 guns. A quick glance at the Numrich site shows that there are separate part numbers for the various barrels and they are different.

I really like mine and have been more than pleased with the accuracy. For the money spent, I believe it is the most accurate gun I own. I got mine for 369 bucks, less than half the cost of a p-226 at that time. Stock Glocks shoot rings around the groups the P-6 will produce. It is the most accurate 9 mm that I personally have owned.
