NOE Mold for 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r loadings

I have a 7.62x39 bolt rifle I built on a 1894 Brazilian 7x57 receiver. I also have a Finnish M27 and 28/30 that would benefit from a properly sized bullet. I am not sure about the throats on these three rifles allowing me much room in seating depth but it would be nice to have one mold that woudd work well. Would the 198gr spire point NOE 311365 function in this capacity?

Wanting to make some subsonic load for the 7.62x39 and maybe all around plinking loads for the M27 and 28/30.

Opinions please.....

Is the 7.62x39 throat going to allow a bullet that large without going well below the neck?

You are going to have to slug both of the throats to make sure of the diameter you are going to need. I would do that before anything is ordered. But if the 311365 fits the Mosin, It should work well. If you look, Al makes larger versions of this mold also.

There is a group buy going on the NOE forum for a boolit mold that will probably work for you.
I am using the Lee 312-160-TL right now in the SKS and the Mosin Nagant. Works great in both. Mine drops at .314" and I coat it with extra thick Hi-Tek coating to enlarge it to .315" for the MN. Normal coating for the SKS and sized to .314".

Well the bore of the M28/30 and M27 is around .309 The big question is the x39 barrel I bought from Numrich. It is US made I would think and maybe .310 How deep is the throat on any of the barrels, i don't know. I have some cerrosafe so I guess I need to check.

The Finn throats are usually cavernous. I found the NOE 311331 to fit and shoot best with a COAL as long as will fit and feed. It could work in your x39 since the driving band portion is pretty short and you should have room in that action for a longer COAL.

You need to know what the throat is. The bore is secondary. Do a pound cast and measure the throat.

While we are at it if anyone has a .314 or so plinker type CB (prefer gas check) for... Plinking around with my 91-30, 91 Argie, .303 Dutch mannlicher etc. Just something like 100gr to load over unique to pop cans, practice on squirrels, etc. I'll follow this thread.
