I took the Colt SAA Sheriffs model to my ffl today to ship to him. Bittersweet. The Colt is really nice, but I am getting a nice rifle in return, a Marlin LTD V plus a mold, brass and some ammo, so it's all good.

Nice swap guys!

I don't have a Sheriff's model Colt, but I do have a Marlin LTD in 45/70 and it is a fine shooter.

When you get your LTD in, post a photo for us. Here's my Marlin LTD:

About 4 years after the LTD-V came out, I found one new in the box with a local gun dealer. Best darn rifle purchase I made and the price was $650.00 back then. Using the Ranch dog 350 gr. RNFP with gas check. I sized to .460 and used 43 gr. of IMR-4198 for a velocity of 1885 FPS. That load gave me consistent one inch three shot groups at 100 yards. Also using the same powder charge with the Hornady 350 FP gave the same accuracy results. Used that rifle and load to take several buffalo and one wild boar with one shot drop dead kills. Yes! it has a scope on it to get results like that.

Bigarm has been great to talk too. Anxious to see the Colt.

The rest of the stuff will go out Monday UPS.

I have one in the #500 range, picked up a couple years ago on a used rack. 99% with one small spot of rust on the mag tube and still have not shot it. Shame on me!

I know where you can get another one to keep it company. This one's a bit older and with a few miles on her. Guy I bought my 38-55 from has it but I was afraid to look at it, lol. Maybe he'll still have it when I rebuild my cash reserves.

Don't think you will find one at that price now!

That is very true! Nazgul has been good to work with. That really helps!
