So, now I need to buy a special lube to put between the Lee mould plates? I have bullet lube, is there a substitute or commonly found effective lube to go between the plates and the peg holes?

Bull shop's Bull Plate is an excellent mould lube. I won't cast without it! Click on the Bull Shop Icon at the bottom of this page to order.

You can use boolit lube on you molds Bob. Just the tiniest bit on the alignment pins and a smidgen on the sprue plate screw. I use a tiny scewdriver to shave a bit of lube off. I touch the pins briefly and the pivot screw on the top of the sprue plate. It is very easy to overdo it. LBT sells a lube for this that is beeswax with graphite in it.
