The only brass mould I have is an NEI .44 in 250 grain. I haven't checked them lately, but it might be worth a try.

They won't do brass anymore. Only one I know of is CBE in Australia.

The fellow that made molds under the Old West name retired several years ago. The address you gave didn't lead anywhere. I've got one of his brochures somewhere. When I read your post, I thought someone had taken up the name and started making molds. I'm going strictly on memory here, which is dangerous. So please let me know if I'm off base.

CBE in Australia- but they don't do large numbers of cavities (I don't think)

Alamogunr, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computer literacy! I'll try again with the link to Old West Bullet Moulds.I know that Bernie is in business because he just recently opened up his website. Monkeyboy.http://www.oldwestbulletmoulds.com/

That worked! I will go out to the shop today and see if I can find that old brochure on Old West molds. Glad to see there is another source. Thanks.

I have one of Dan's brass molds and it is very nice-- but it is also heavy -- your 6 cavity would be very heavy -- since I dip or ladle -- I would not want one that large -- my two cavity is plenty --but Dans' are very nice

I have always wanted a brass mold. Will he cut a mold to someone else's design, say the ones we have here designed by .45-2.1?

I'm curious as well. Wonder if he'd work with GBs?

Monkeyboy: Found it! The "Old West Bullet Molds" I was referring to was located in Flora Vista, NM and the mold maker was Ken Chapman. He apparently made both cherry cut and lathe cut molds from brass. Most of the illustrations are for rifle bullets with multiple lube grooves. I don't know if they qualify as "Loverin" or not. The brochure is a "xerox" copy (copied many times by its appearance) of about 9 sheets both sides. I try to keep all old info from as many sources as possible. Sometimes I can look up information that may no longer be available.

I still suspect that the current "Old West Bullet Molds" is a successor.

Talked to Bernie Rowles (Old West).
He is swamped right now.
No longer lathe cuts moulds - cherry cut only.
But does have some interest in group buys.

Going to put together some information
and send to him and see what he can do.

As to customs -- Dan will make what his program will make -- and nothing more--he makes this very clear --but the program is very good and does a lot--try it is fun
