In the process of a big melt down and would like to know if dried coffee grounds would work for fluxing?
I went to the Home Depot today to see about getting some sawdust, but most was from particle and plywood.

ETA also could someone explain "Beagle it"?

Yes they would work. Truth is you can use almost anything (I think coffee would smell nice but you probably shouldn't huff your scrap). For making ingots, coffee would work as a flux. For casting boolits you need a reducing agent. I use dry pine, there are others.
Beagling is shimming a mold open by just a few thousandths, in case it's dropping a little undersized. Your sizing die will tell you if it's working.

This link is a PDF of the original "how to beagle a mould" Mould Enlargement article.

Fom John Goins, AKA Beagle.

It's also a good candidate for the FAQ section, as this question comes up often.
