So the wife and I have a hankering for matching pistolas. We are looking @ the s&w sd9ve that can be had @ academy, dicks, etc. I don't know much about them except that they point well and fits mine and her hand well. I imagine I'll have to cast and reload for them. Darn the luck! So the main question I have is does this gun have the "anti lead" polygonal rifling or conventional? Are there any "gotchas" I need to be aware of with this gun?

Not sure, but I think its standard cut rifling. They are basically a cheap knockoff of the Glock 19 but from what I have heard shoot well and function without issues.

It's what I have. Standard cut rifling. The throat on mine slugged at .356 and I feed it .357 sized Lee 356-120-TC or TL356-124-TC. I lube the 356-120-TC with Lyman Alox in a 4500 and the other with straight LLA before and after pushing through a Lee push through sizer. Allow is COWW + 2-3% tin or 50/50 COWW and PB with 2-3% tin. I get some antimony wash and that's it, don't ever worry about it unless the gun just gets nasty enough that I can't stand it any longer so clean it. I have the Apex spring kit and TruGlo sights on it. I like it. I've probably put about 5000 rounds through it, zero issues. Using Accurate #7 at the moment, but have also used Unique, Blue Dot, Bullseye. I like how the #7 is working at the moment.

I have no complaints with mine.

Worst trigger I've ever felt on a gun. A couple buddies have them, they wish they didn't. If you're set on S&W's then step up to the M&P line, at least you'll have aftermarket support and options.

Yes the triggers are not as good as others, but for the price are very serviceable. That pistols market is for budget minded buyers that want something that goes bang and is reliable. It does this just fine.

My local shop has sold a bunch of them and find they are no more troublesome than the M&P. A name brand stainless pistol in a fighting caliber with two mags for $329.95 is hard to beat. An even better value than the Ruger 9E, which has a not so durable black finish and one mag.
