Has all the lines of a "Bulldog" but there were so many made by different mfgs. plus "knock offs". It's an interesting little pistol. I don't believe I've ever seen one with cylinder "flutes" like that. Any markings on it? Sometimes the Bulldog style revolvers I've looked at were marked on the top frame strap and sometimes not. Take a look at the back side of the cylinder. Any proof marks? What caliber (can you measure at the muzzle with some calipers?).

It's an interesting one!

I think this is a close relative of the Model 1879 Deutsche Armeerevolver. Look at the cylinder release lever, the hammer, and the handle shape. That's my guess, anyways. Good luck!
