Check out Target Talk .com. They get high marks...although the grip needs some work with a rasp. I'd like to get one some day.

Any of the high end world class pistols should be hand fitted to the shooter. Otherwise, what's the point? Most high end pistols have 4-way adjustable triggers. Along with "fitting" the pistol to the shooter by forming the grips to the shooters hand/hold, each mag (if the pistol uses them) are tuned to that pistol and #'d to that pistol and then the trigger is adjusted to the shooter after the grips have been fitted.

Any of the russian world class pistols are worth owning/using.

The izh-46m is a fantastic pistol for what little $$$ they sell them for. I've had this one for a decade now & have enjoyed 10 years of quality range time with it. It gets right @ 5,000 pellets down the tube every year and rebuilt ($5 seal kit) every 20,000 pellets.

A couple times a year pyramid air has a sale on the cheap gamo pellets. My izh-46m eats them like candy & will easily hold the 10-ring @ 10m with them. Nothing better than quality range time and ammo to burn from a $100 order from pyramid air/ sale.

A 1/2 coffee can of lead from the yearly trap clean out.

Enjoy your izh-35m, you're in for a real treat.

I just bought one last month and I love mine. I have been shooting a Gamo compact and my scores went up the first time shot it. You will love it. You need to shoot the matches on the GTA forum.

I compete in air pistol competitions at 10M and I think this is the best air pistol in the world for the money. I shot one for several years before purchasing a Morini. It is capable of world class accuracy!

I use mine for pest control up around and near my house. Very accurate and quiet. Wish it had a safety. I would be over run with chipmunks if I didn't have one.

Are you really getting good groups with gamo ammo? I like my pistol a lot but wish it would shot cheaper ammo better.

I have one that came to me when my son checked out. I am still working on an ancient can of
Daisy pellets and until I saw this thread, had not shot it in several years. I dug it out and shot it some this afternoon and amazed myself. I was making 3/2 to 1" groups at 10M which, for me, is superb. When I first got the pistol, we were building our present house and living in a rental that was mouse infested. The pistol shot a number of mice but lacks the power for clean kills. Damnd thing would run under the refrigerator and die then you know what happened.

As far as a safety goes, just dont cloze the little breech thing until ready to fire.

Is it a "M" if so you may have a O ring problem. It should have plenty of power. The earlier version was not as powerful but should still have power to give a clean kill and any distance you can hit a mouse. If it is left with the loading block down the o-ring will become weak. Mine shoots around 500 fps

I have owned my IZH 46M for close to 9-10 years and it still continues to amaze me about the trigger. It is probably the best trigger of all the guns I own. I agree with other posters that you need to take a Dremel tool to the grips and make them yours. Having a pistol fit you like a glove really improves your accuracy. That is half the fun of owning any gun is customizing the way you want it. I just wish this gun had a little more speed. For what it was intended speed was not a major factor at 10 meters. You will love it. This has always been one of my favorite guns to shoot.

I am not sure if it is an "M" or not. Will have to look later today when I go to basement. Thanks for the tip on leaving the loading block down. This one has been down for years so it might need attention; I'll have to chronograph it.

I shoot my Baikal IZH 46m ahead of all other guns.
If there is no time for other shooting an hour with this
gun is great for your aim, trigger - target, everything!

No scope on mine!
I feed it R.W.S. Meisterkugeln or H&N Finale Match pellets.
I used to participate in "Postal Matches" on an Air-Gun Forum.
