I have wanted one for a long time!

There's plenty out there, one seems to follow me home all too often. Some really nice ones seem to come out of estates on a regular basis around here. Feel like a vulture sometimes but I can't help it if the young folks prefer folding green to examples of true craftsmanship.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but there may be a reason it is so cheap. Remember, these rifles were built to accomplish a low price point and alot of them left the factory perfectly shootable but with really irritating defects such as canted barrels, wood that won't stay tight, loose actions, etc. I would at least see if I could get a no-shoot inspection period.

I bought it, I think it was fired twice. No scratches, no wear, nothing, just a faint mark on the carrier, there is no scratch of the magazine door, I mean nothing, it was never loaded. Muzzle crown shows zero wear.

I own a 44mag Remlin and that rifle took 6 years to shoot right, this has seasoned me well.

Sounds like a dandy.
I bought a cherry 94 AE a couple years ago. Paid over $500 for it though. Shoots great so I did OK.
Couldn't count on both hands how many times I've dropped the hammer on that cross bolt safety. About ready to do the surgery on it.

is that price with his hands in the air or a simple" I don't know what do you" think expression on his face?

If you go into the Pawn shops west of Carson on highway 50, you will see many 94's for sale, not many under $450, you did very well. So did the seller as well. Think the Pawn shop would have offered him less than $200. A win/win for both of you.

Concidering the condition I'd say you did good. Like one of the other posters said though, Rangers are not that special. Still a nice rifle though.

It would take a Trapper to get me to move. LOL

Ranger often have Birch stocks but that doesn't scare me off, pretty sure my 1969 built 94 in 32Spl has Birch wood and it's a solid rifle. Rangers are a little short in the polish, fit & finish department but every one I've seen has been a solid rifle.

Yes, The Trapper is nice handy rifle. My brother had one back in the 1980's and like a few other nice things he had traded it off. :(
