I have been trying to catch a 7.5" .45 stainless BH for a while on gunbroker and I haven't had any luck. They just seem to have disappeared, same on gunsamerica and only one on armslist but from a shady looking post. What's up?

Limited supply,,, larger demand.

Deer season! New regulations in a lot of places for more calibers and handguns, and new young hunters taking to the woods. Checked the price of beef lately???

Ruger makes guns in batches , to supply pent up demand .

It's more cost effective to produce guns in batches than to put in dedicated machine lines for each style of gun, or to eliminate guns that they don't sell enough of for a dedicated line.

Yes, and it is a good gun in high demand.

I didn't know such an animal existed. I thought the blackhawk .45 was only available in blued as a 7.5".

I had one back in the early 90's but the Encore got me to sell it quick.

Never could get excited about stainless or nickel in a gun. My 7.5in BH 45Colt is blue like the rest of my handguns.

I have a high polish stainless one and then a regular stainless one. They used to be more prevalent.

It's been quite some time since they've made many stainless 45 Blackhawks. I've seen a couple runs over the last few years, but mostly on flattops. I was after one a few years ago, but I've settled on blued. And then I found out how much I like the New Vaquero.
