just got my 2nd rl550 from a member of my gun club. This one come with Dillon dies. This is my first time using Dillon dies and I have a question. I cannot find the e clips that hold the decapping pin in the sizing die on the website, do you purchase these locally or call Dillon. there was one missing in one set of the dies, lucky I don't shoot that caliber.

Quicker to go to your ACE, Coast to Coast, Do It Best or other hardware and buy some extra hair pin clips. take a picture or a sample hair pin and the die with you .

He needs E clips, not hair pin clips, but many hardware stores do have the right part, for a lot less than Dillon wants for them if you buy them. As was stated though, Dillon will probably send the OP one or more for the asking.

If you can find them at the hardware store, you are up and running today. If you call Dillon, you will be up and running by the end of the week.

So... It kind of depends on how soon you need some reloaded ammo.

E-clips are in the boxes that have all the different little doodads at any Tru Value or ACE hardware. I know this for sure because I dumped the whole box on the floor and it took an hour to segregate all the different sizes back in to their compartments. I felt stupid!

I needed itty bitty clips for my Mihec HP pins.

Carry the decapping pin to the hardware store to match the right one. Splurge and buy a few extra.

Most of your Ace or True Value stores will have them. If not then hunt up an old Mom and Pop type hardware store. Most of them were famous for having a lot of hard to find items. This is not rocket science. If your a type of person that needs it right now go to the hardware store and if you can wait call Dillon.

Dillon buys e-clips from suppliers same as Ace. Why wait to get them in a blue bag.?

Guys I had the big "AWE Ship!" out before the thing hit the floor. Luckily they had a big magnet that sped up the initial pickup.

The problem was discerning between the three smallest sizes, There were literally hundreds of each size. There were 3 people working on this with me, and it took us nearly an hour to put everything back.

And yes,,, I did think about running,,, but I actually needed the clips and didn't want to make a second trip.

Me and my wife actually throw things at each other in WalMart, so we are able to visit the Dark Side and survive unscathed. We Have NO Shame after doing this!

It is actually the most fun you can have at a WalMart!
