If someone who has a Lyman Mag 20 furnace would be willing to give me a measurement from post to post, centered on your mold guide I would really appreciate it, and I would even be more appreciative if you wouldn't mind sending me a close up picture of the whole mold guide. Thank you in advance so much for your time and consideration.

^^^Now measure outside to outside with your calipers then subtract a diameter, it's more accurate that way.

Mine measures 4.56 center to center.

The Mag 20 mould guide is too narrow to work with many of my moulds. In fact, I gave up on using it in most cases.

That is another question I had about the width of the guide, as long as it is about 1 1/2" wide, it will work for me.

I tried for years to make friends with my Mag 20 mold guide. Alas, we never hit it off. Even so, I need something to support a four cavity brass mold over an extended session. Rather than use the guide as a guide, I use the guide as a shelf, and hold the mold at a 90° angle to the guide. I like it much better.

Turn it around, use the flat side as a shelf. Works for me.

Here's what I did. Pretty simple and now all size molds work.

Dave, you beat me to it. That was going to be my suggestion, it seems like an obvious thing to do :Bright idea:.
