Cannon ball ID

Hello, hoping some of you might help me id a cannon ball that I bought at a junk sale down on the Gulf last week. The ball weighs 4.6 lbs and is a nominal 3.1/8 in in diameter . I can't place it in any of the civil war ordinance,of course it could be from anywhere seeing as how the have been chunking them things at each other for a long time down there.If anybody has a idea I'd like to hear it. IF it is a cannon ball it might be hazardous to ones health.

It might be a ball from a "Ball Mill" also.
