iron wire source

What is a good source for iron wire, Brownells is out? Would stainless work just as well for cherry red treating and bluing of small parts? THANKS LB

Use standard appliance heating wire. Should be avalilable locally or from distributors on the net.

You will need a high amp variable voltage power supply. A variac (AC variable transformer) works very well.
