H&G 68 vs. H&G 130 lube groove

I have the 68. looking at the 130. It'd be nice if the lube groove is same distance from base so the sizer could remain untouched. Would somebody with both tell me ? Since I'm basically a guy who hates to fiddle with something working, I might be forced to get another Star !

You need to decide on one bullet or the other. H&G68 is a better feeder in most guns and will stand heavier loads. The #130 is more accurate for powder puff wadcutter if you don't shoot past 25 yards and also like to shoot light loads at 50. The #68 will shoot accurately in +P loads to 1000 fps or in rifle loads with compressed charges of #2400 which will take apart an M1911. I sold my #130 molds years ago and drive #68 to .44-40 rifle velocities in my Ruger Blackhawk.

Same here. Though I've got the lee copy of the 68 and the real H&G 130.

Same setting then. Cool. I'm gonna get one. Not that I don't love the 68, but before I had it, shot some storebought 185's(supposedly from a 130 mold) and they grouped wonderfully at 25 yards. Plus use less lead !

I am now much, much happier since plugging up the upper three lube holes with little wedges of lead. No matter how I adjusted it, I'd get either three threads of lube on the base, or above the shoulder of the bullet.

Really clever design, so the extra push on the lever cranks on the lube chamber but the final depth the boolit stops a remains the same regardless of handle overtravel.

It should be noted that the depths are the same for the #68 and #130 as long as the base style is the same. The BB makes the bullets longer in the base to groove dimension.
