I beleive that I have read here that if you mix a % lead with a % of linotype and chuck a % of tin in the mix you get a bullet that is plenty hard to shoot in the larger caliber handguns. If this is right then the stick on ww could be used for hunting bullets . If this is not right someone put my feet on the right path about this. Thanks as always for your help. :Fire:

lead will sofen your linotype, linotype has suffecient tin in it, How fast do you
want to push your handgun bullets? My bullet metal in 1part linotype &2 parts
wheelweights, lymans 429215 mold i have drops a 220grn bullet after lube and gc
I push this bullet at over 1500fps out of my superredhawk, I get no leading.

I mix pure lead and monotype 50/50 for rifle boolits, and it tests 19 BHN. This is really harder than needed for large caliber handgun boolits. For my .454's at around 1500 fps, I use 75% WW metal and 25% linotype.
