I am just about done with a project rifle that I chambered in 460 rowland. Any good loads out there that some of you members have tested? ANY help is much appreciated!

There are loads listed at handloads.com, I believe they are all using Longshot powder however.

Guess you have a AR chambered in it.

Do tell us about the rifle, I've been thinking about doing the 45acp conversion on an old spanish mauser I have and reaming the chamber a little deeper for the 460 Rowland. Obviously the action will handle it well.

I am kind of embarrassed to say this but it is a arisaka type 99 action.. I had a good guy on weaponsguild who donated a bishop stock for the project. I chambered a GMR barrel to 460 specs after threading and machining the groove for the extractor. Not a traditional action by any means but the receiver cost $5 at a swap meet! It is going to be single shot only. The round feeds pretty good after a bunch of diligent work. It extracts just fine but I push the brass down and pull it out by hand. Later I will machine a mag block and get it to feed mutiples. I will then make an extended ejector. I have already tested the rifle chambered in 45acp. It worked good but I knew I was going to go with 460 after the brass came in the mail. I say go for it!
