Clip 1: high 3024 fps low 3010
Clip 2: high 3024 fps low 3002

4 cracked necks, primers quite flat and showed extrusion into the firing pin hole. Bolt lift was noticeably sticky. Case heads showed rub marks at the pressure ring due to case head expansion. Recommend avoiding this year of production.

That ammo is more than likely corrosive. If you are shooting it clean the rifle after each firing session.

If it is corrosive you need to clean with hot water and soap. Corrosive us ammo had a red lacquer around the primer

Is the ammo loaded hot for machine gun use?

No ifs or likelys about it, definitely corrosive. I shot a bunch of it back when it was cheap and plentiful, through the equally cheap and plentiful Turk Mausers. I don't think it was hot for MGs, just generally hot. It worked fine for me in a good strong bolt action, but definitely avoid it like the plague in a semi-auto like an FN-49.
