anyone try the 220 grain lee skirmisher boolit in a marlin. My barrel is 457" slugged. Figure it would make a nice light, cheap plinker. With lead being more and more difficult to attain free, wouild like to save lead were I can.

The only Lee 456-220 I found on the lee website is for the Ruger Old Army.
Is this the bullet you referenced?
I am not sure how that would work in a Marlin as the Marlin bore tends to like larger diameter bullets.
We just had a GB for the old Springfield collar button mold, which weighs only slightly more than a round ball. It is a real lead saver!

If it's cast of soft lead I suppose it would "bump up" if you loaded it in front of a bunch of FFg, but the Lee 456-220-1R mould really is intended for the Ruger "Old Army" cap & ball Revolver
and as such it is hampered by having two relatively small lube grooves, so you'll be quite limited in how fast you can push them.
And FWIW I just so happen to have 120 of those bullets freshly cast of pure lead
sitting on my desk as I type this
