For those of you who have ordered-

How close do the bullets drop to what you specified with the order? The tolerance says +0.002 -0. Just curious if they drop right on or if they tend to run over by the 0.002. I'll be using WW + 2%.

Thanks

Mine was right on !
I spec'd .412" and that is exactly what they measure when I cast with COWW.

Having ordered a variety of calibers, mould materials, and spec'd alloys, I have found them all to be between spot-on and one thousandth over. NEVER undersized. That's pretty darn close considering the wide range of what WW actually are, our different alloy temps, pour techniques, and mould temperatures. I made the mistake the first time by ordering a thousandth larger than needed just to be sure adn now I have to size them too much or use a "weaker" alloy, so order exactly the size you want them to be with the alloy you plan to use and it will be right. Tom will also work with you on bore-riding nose specs if you have a special need, he'll split it at +/- .001" if possible for the particular design.

Concur, spot on with specified alloy.

When I ordered the Cadet boolit it had to be spot on for hand seating as being a heeled boolit sizing wasn't really and option. I asked for .308 on the heel and .323 on the body and sure enough that is what I got.

Result Cadet heaven.

Tom pretty much hits the nail on the head of your ordered size. I had one built in .314 as I size to .314, .313 and .312. They drop right at .3145 which is way closer than government work. None of my 5 Accurate molds casts undersized. Just tell him what size you want and what lead you will be using. He just knows!

I am casting with Lyman #2 alloy and using a few molds from Accurate
9.3mm drops .369 and sized .368
.30 cal. drops .312 and sized .310
.375 drops .378 and sized .377
.338 have not checked it yet
my experience is they come out +.001 and -.000
That do cast about 3% light but I believe that is because of me using #2 Lyman instead of COWW

Alloy & casting temp has a lot to do with it. I wouldnorder 0.001" larger than you need. Better too large than too small.

Last mold from him I ordered .359 with WW. Mine drop a tiny bit larger than .360" with my alloy. (range scrap and some scrap babbit) That was back when his tolerances were +.0015" -.000". The bullets have good concentricity. I agree better a little large than too small.
