There was a lot of intrest in finding a source for Berdan primers, so I sent an email to PMC-USA. Here it is:

Dear Dan,

They are no longer available.

The following information was received from the 'INFORMATION REQUEST' form
on the pmcammo.com website:
--------------------------------

Your Message or Request: Greetings....Are the PMC Berdan primers still
available? I am mostly interested in the .217\"LR size. If yes, please let
me know how to order, or where to buy. Thanks very much....DanM

Since they sold out so quickly, maybe they will import another batch.

Read my post here on this very subject: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=25829

There is/was a source for them - an expensive source, but a source.

Brassman Brass is out. I checked a couple of weeks ago. Here is a link to an interesting post on the Swiss Rifle Forum. shows how to convert GP11 to boxer primer. Looks do-able.

I found my way to swissrifle.com the other night at. The conversion does look do-able. I also liked the decapper made by parashooter from old chainsaw files. I've got plenty of them and alot of berdan 7.62x51 cases to try it on.

Here's a couple tools I made years back in an effort to convert the then Berdan primed Mag-Tech brass shotshells to Boxer priming. Left tool is the support rod and on the right is the swage rod.

Just so much easier to convert to 209 shotshell primers. Then thank God Mag-Tech came out with the Boxer primed cases!!!
