I recently had a ranch in Texas contact me about trying to make a reliable expanding jacketed that will run through a suppressed .308. been tinkering awhile as he has a 1 in 10 RRA. This is my latest. I started at a 210 grain but it wasn't as stable as I had hoped. this new creation is 170 and will expand in water at 1000fps. still perfecting it but they sure look neat. Just thought I'd share.

Beauty, what is the point made from?

That looks really good. I also use the airsoft bb,s to help with low velocity expansion, but I also drop a piece of hardened shot onto the core before I add the airsoft. The airsoft acts as a huge ram pushing the shot through the soft core, when I added a cannelure, I got total destruction on a gallon water jug. Give it a try... Dave

We are making bullets for .30 cal that are designed to expand well at sub-sonic velocities. 200g and 220g RN and 210g SP.

Yes it is an airsoft. They are pretty accurate but i'm still playing. I also have some made with a huge hollowpoint that are made from a 1.36 jacket. Now those are accurate. yesterday ran a group with big hollowpoint at .275. Gonna try the shot next. Thanks for the heads up.

Well the accuracy continues the large hollow point. The one with airsoft is still under MOA but not quite as tight as I want. I think the slower the more accurate so far. I am going to make some more with the airsoft. The expansion was Ok. opened to over .403 pictures to follow.
