Anyone make these primer pockets for shotshell primers? And how? Reamer to have?

Have you tried just using a magnum large pistol primer with the flash hole enlarged?

SS primers would be best. I understand these ss primers are not pressed in and can be changed in field.
Wonder how they make the hole for ss primers? These in pic have a step.

It's best to have the step so they fit flush. I made something like this for my 06 and used 8mm airsoft BB's for mouse phart loads.

Wax bullet dot com sells the converted casings, you could easily make them on a lathe but it's not worth the effort unless you want several hundred.

Supposedly you can get SS Wax Bullet Shells from him...looks like a set of 6 for under $20.

Grumpa, how do they finish the hole w/the step and what tool? Custom or store bought?

I used a drill then I reamed then I used a small carbide boring bore. That was some time ago, the reamer is somewhere, the boring bar broke. But the good news is the 06 cases are somewhere in my room. It's amazing how much stuff (wife calls it clutter) I can fit in a 10x10 room.
