Any use for these other than selling as scrap? I'm mining the local range backstop and the majority of what has been collected so far is jacketed pistol bullets. I'm melting the lead out of these and have about 2/3rds of a 5 gal bucket of jacket material. When I think of the price of gas checks it makes me reluctant to just sell the jackets as scrap.

They are probably too thick for making gas checks.

I sell mine for #2 copper. Just need to pull the steel and dirt out.

Shake over a 1/4" screen to separate the fines and dirt, then remove the steel jackets with a cow magnet and take the remainder to the scrap yard, more than $1 per pound last time I took a bucket.
