Mid South Shooters Supply has a great deal on Hornady .224 55 gr FMJ or SP Bullets,,, Right Now.
You get 6000 of them for $461.78 Free Shipping! That's .07 each! ,,, and these are brand new
The last "pulled" .224's I bought were .09 each. The Flat Rate Box weighed 55lbs!
This is a screamin' deal if you load for .223/5.56. :bigsmyl2:
I am seeing smaller quantities showing up all over the place for more,,, as people are buying these bulk boxes and repackaging them.
I got one and split it with my Bro in law. I've got enough to last me for a few years.
I think Hornady is dumping these bullets because they over estimated the market and simply made too many. they have been running these and 147gr FMJBT's non stop 24/7 for months now. They said they've stopped and are now concentrating on the oddballs that they suspended production on to run the high demand stuff.
Wish .22LR's would catch up.
Now if I could only find powder that cheap. The only WC 844 or 846 I have found in stock the guy wants $168 for 8lb jugs with a $25 Hazmat on top. That's commercial prices! Not recycled prices.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
