Mid South Shooters Supply has a great deal on Hornady .224 55 gr FMJ or SP Bullets,,, Right Now.

You get 6000 of them for $461.78 Free Shipping! That's .07 each! ,,, and these are brand new

The last "pulled" .224's I bought were .09 each. The Flat Rate Box weighed 55lbs!

This is a screamin' deal if you load for .223/5.56. :bigsmyl2:

I am seeing smaller quantities showing up all over the place for more,,, as people are buying these bulk boxes and repackaging them.

I got one and split it with my Bro in law. I've got enough to last me for a few years.

I think Hornady is dumping these bullets because they over estimated the market and simply made too many. they have been running these and 147gr FMJBT's non stop 24/7 for months now. They said they've stopped and are now concentrating on the oddballs that they suspended production on to run the high demand stuff.

Wish .22LR's would catch up.

Now if I could only find powder that cheap. The only WC 844 or 846 I have found in stock the guy wants $168 for 8lb jugs with a $25 Hazmat on top. That's commercial prices! Not recycled prices.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Too bad they don't have a ''great'' deal on 30 cal. 168g. Sierra Match Kings.

I don't know if this is a "deal" or not, but Widener's has these:

Just wait, in about 2 years or so these same .07 projectiles will be selling on GB for .25 or more.

Yeah, and as far as I'm concerned they'll stay there. There's a difference between "good business" and "plain 'ol gouging". I'm not trying to hijack a thread but I seriously hope that all the primer/powder/bullet gougers out there end up stuck with unsold goods.......and then have to sell it cheap just to get rid of it.

.30-06,,, I personally am hoping for Anal Insertion of all of the hoarded .22LRs out there. The Night Trolls that sit outside Walmart at 3 in the morning waiting for the store to open need to eat all of them when the price goes back down.

It's happening with Oil prices right now and it will happen with ammo prices as well.

I have never seen jacketed bullets of any kind at .07 each. I think Hornady grossly over estimated the market demand for these during production. I talked to them and they had ceased production of less popular bullets in favor of running the hell out of the .22's and .308's. I was told they stopped this about a month ago and were running the oddballs now.. However I still haven't seen any .303 cal bullets show up.

Just before catching up on this thread, I opened an email from Brownell's offering Mexican(Ci) .22 LR for $60 for 500 rnds. No limit.

Not recommending, just mentioning.
