Found a new Polish M44 carbine,$230,worth getting or should I wait?Input appreciated, didn,t need rifle till I bought some ammo for one:)

$230?????? Aim Surplus has them for $69.95. Ok, they're Russian, not Polish, but for 4160...

It's worth having but not for no $230.......:shock:
$125 or so mebbe...
and that's if you just GOT TO have a POLISH M44....

That's about double it's worth. The Poles made good ones, but not that good. This is just my opinion, but of the Mosins, the M44 is the least desireable of the various models due to the heavy bayonette hanging off of it.

A lot of the Polish-made guns are new, or close to it. Moisin-Nagants will never be pretty, but the workmanship on the Polish guns is much better than the Russian guns. The barrels on the Polish guns are frequently mint, not frosted/pitted/counterbored. like the Russians.

All that being said, $230 seems high.
