This mold, the 454 350Gr RF RG4 http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=41&products_id=539&osCsid=ketsp5a6vkb6vjlmgcbv270hj0 in their 454 Casull? Definitely doesn't look like a long range bullet with an 80% meplat, and penetration could be limited by the same, but sure looks like it would put the smack down on big game. Two different twist calculators tell me it will stabilize in the Freedom Arms 24 twist down to 600fps, I'm thinking of 900 to 1450 or so. I like the sectional density of heavier bullets to increase penetration, but I don't like the recoil generated by the big 400s any more, they flew great to 200 yards or more, but at 1400fps, they sure had some recoil, no free lunch, same with shooting the 475 and 420s at 1400, they really let you know you've unleashed some power. I'm really looking hard at this mold.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on this mold, I saw it was at one time a group buy. Will post up results, I doubt I will shoot these beyond 200 yards, and what I want is a bullet for 100 yards and in, more like 65-75 that will poke a wide hole in big game. What a side benefit to be able to cast a 325gr HP, will cast some soft bullets to see how they expand.
